She/Her

I am currently welcoming new clients into my chair so please feel free to fill out the Request Form and I look forward to connecting with you to

see if we are a good fit!

I started in the industry over 20 years ago as an assistant and recently closed the doors of my Salon after almost 16 years of business which was truly one of the hardest decisions that I have ever had to make. I decided to open my own shop with the goal of creating an inclusive and supportive home for myself and my clients; something that was difficult to come by at that time in our industry. I have spent almost 16 years in that space, creating an environment and culture that I finally felt was exactly the way I envisioned it as that 24 year old with only a dream. My dream became my reality and I know not everyone gets to have that in life. I have always defined success as ‘Waking up every day to show up and do what I love, while making a difference’ so I know that this is not a failure but one of the greatest successes of my life.

Things change and we have to Grow through it, so I will bring forward the same passion and continue to offer a safe and inclusive space as a self-employed stylist, working with a new team of amazing and supportive individuals.

As a (former) Educator, I had the opportunity to share some really incredible experiences and travel with some of the industry’s loveliest and most talented humans. Although that is no longer my reality, I remain excited about education and totally nerd out on things like product ingredients and spreadsheets. I still attend a ton of education every year to keep up with the industry as well as to connect with other like minded stylists in the industry.

I am committed to growth in both my personal and professional life and being self employed has allowed me the opportunity to involve myself in the community and give back where I live and beyond. I have also participated in many committees over the years such as the EDI roundtable for Poco, being an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce, Community Director for the Rotary Club, or spearheading the Starfish Backpack Program.

On a personal note, I get pretty jazzed about recycling/upcycling and take a lot of pride in the fact that my salon diverted over 5000 lbs of waste from landfills over a decade. You can often find me working on something, whether its refinishing furniture that I picked up on a sketchy marketplace deal, collecting things for people in need like products and clothing for the shelters or Valentines for Seniors, Hospice and Hospitals which by the way is my favourite Project of the Year - The Love Project just celebrated year 10!

I work with all hair types and lengths and have a very diverse clientele. When I am behind the chair you will find me doing a lot of creative colouring and enhancing the textures and colour your Mama gave ya.  I love creating low maintenance looks and I also appreciate a challenging colour correction or exciting vivids. You will not find me doing bleachouts nor perms; and super short cuts have never been my passion. I will never take on something that is not within my strengths but will always help you find someone who can!

My name is Thomas and I came as a Foster pup in August 2023. I was living on the streets of California and it took the people there a really long time to catch me because I am so fast and so smart. I didn't realize that they were trying to help me and give me a better life in Canada. I wasn't supposed to stay forever, in fact, my Mom did everything to avoid it but in the end I was such a good boy that she decided to keep me forever.

I am now spoiled rotten but I take my job very seriously. I sometimes get a little bit too excited and jump up on people and sometimes I get grumpy and shout or nibble at people's hands but I usually fall asleep right after; I just have serious FOMO and don't want to miss anything.

I love to sit on people's laps on my special pillow and I usually know when people need a little bit of extra love or snuggles. I love snackies and I dislike putting my harness on but I do really love walks. I have a bad habit of booping people or shoving my head under their hands when I want them to pet me. I can be a little demanding, but I also give a lot of love and entertainment in return.

I know some people aren't as excited about me as I am about them and that's okay. I am not offended if I have to go into my little house because of allergies or because someone needs more space. I am very self sufficient and like to take a lot of naps anyways. I don't like to go home at the end of the day, so I hide under people's feet so that my Mom can't get me very easily. I just love being at the salon and being with all of the people who give me so much attention and love. Feel free to give me pets or invite me onto your lap next time you're in the salon.
